This Cookie Notice explains how BioMark Diagnostics Inc. (“BioMark,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.biomarkdiagnostics.com and other online properties we operate that link to this Notice (the “Website”).
It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use personal information more generally.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies allow the site to recognize your browser, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used.
We also use similar technologies, which this Notice treats as “cookies” for convenience, including:
pixels / web beacons — small images or code that record that a page or email was opened;
local storage — data stored in your browser;
software development kits (SDKs) and tags loaded by our service providers; and
server logs that record IP address, browser type, and pages requested.
Cookies may be:
session cookies (deleted when you close the browser); or
persistent cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them).
They may be set by BioMark (first-party) or by a provider whose tool we use (third-party).
Replaced by:
Cookie Consent and Preferences
BioMark uses strictly necessary technologies to operate and secure the Website. Non-essential cookies and similar technologies will remain disabled until you provide valid consent where required by applicable law.
Our cookie preference centre allows you to review the applicable categories, accept or reject non-essential categories, and change your choices later. Rejecting non-essential cookies will not prevent you from accessing Website features that do not require those technologies.
You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time through the “Cookie Settings” link. Withdrawal will apply to future processing and will be implemented in accordance with applicable law.
The current cookie inventory identifies the technologies in use, their purposes, providers, categories, and applicable retention periods.
3. How we use cookies
We use cookies to:
make the Website work (security, load balancing, form submissions, cookie-consent memory);
remember language or other preferences;
understand traffic and content performance (pages viewed, referring sites, approximate location from IP);
support embedded content (for example, video or social embeds), if used; and
measure or deliver communications, if marketing or social tools are enabled.
We do not use cookies to sell your personal information.
4. Categories of cookies
We group cookies as follows. The exact cookies on the Website can change as we add or remove tools. Your banner or preference centre (when enabled) will show the live list.
4.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the Website to function. Examples: security, load balancing, remembering your cookie choices, submitting a contact or newsletter form. These cookies do not require consent. If you block them in your browser, parts of the Website may break.
4.2 Preferences / functional
Remember choices you make (for example, region or dismissed notices) so the Website behaves more consistently on return visits. We use these where we have your consent, where required by law, or where they are limited to what is needed to provide a feature you requested.
4.3 Analytics / performance
Help us understand how visitors use the Website (which pages are read, whether the site loads properly, approximate geography). We use this to improve content and performance. Where required (including Québec and the EU/UK), we load these only after you accept analytics cookies. Data may be processed by providers such as a web-analytics platform in Canada, the United States, or other countries.
4.4 Marketing / social
Used only if we enable advertising, retargeting, or social-media pixels or embeds (for example, LinkedIn or X). These cookies may track browsing across sites to measure campaigns or build audiences. We load them only with consent where the law requires it. If we do not run marketing pixels, this category will not be active.
5. Typical tools that may set cookies
Depending on how the Website is configured, cookies or similar technologies may be set by:
our hosting and content-management platform (WordPress / Elementor);
security and anti-spam tools;
analytics providers;
email or form providers used for newsletter and contact forms;
embedded media or social platforms, if a page contains an embed; and
a cookie-consent or tag-management tool, if installed.
We will keep the banner/preference list current. If you need the current inventory, email us at the address in Section 9.
6. Legal basis and consent
Canada (including Québec Law 25). BioMark uses strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the Website. Non-essential cookies and tracking technologies that require consent will remain disabled until you provide your consent, as required by applicable law. You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time through the Website’s cookie settings.
EEA/UK. Where applicable law requires consent, non-essential cookies and similar technologies will be activated only after you have given your consent. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time through the Website’s cookie settings.
United States. BioMark does not sell personal information collected through its Website. If BioMark uses cookies or similar technologies that trigger additional privacy rights under applicable state laws, it will provide the notices and choices required by those laws.
You can withdraw or change cookie consent by using the Website cookie banner or preference link (when published) or by the browser controls below.
7. How to manage cookies
7.1 On this Website
When a consent banner or “Cookie settings” link is available, use it to accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored so we do not ask on every page load, until the stored choice expires or you clear it.
7.2 In your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Settings are usually under Privacy, Security, or Cookies. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may stop forms and other features from working.
7.3 Analytics and industry opt-outs
If we use Google Analytics, you may also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out pages may apply if marketing cookies are enabled.
7.4 Do Not Track
Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no single standard for how sites should respond. We honour choices made through our cookie banner and the controls above.
8. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Their retention periods vary depending on the technology and provider used and are described in the cookie inventory, where applicable.
Cookie consent records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to document and demonstrate compliance with applicable consent requirements. When personal information is no longer required for this purpose, it will be securely deleted or anonymized, in accordance with applicable law.
